Our historic house sits right on the banks of the Beaulieu River, with woodland walks at the door, boats bobbing on the water, and more than a few stories in the walls. With exclusive hire available, 26 rooms (and a fab cottage) to sleep your favourite people, and the freedom to shape the day your way - this is a blank canvas with a whole lot of character.
From riverside ceremonies to garden cocktails and feasts, we’ll help you bring it all to life. And with a pub on site (shout out to Henry’s) and plenty of cosy corners for your crew, it’s more than just a wedding - it’s a weekend to remember.

From the morning set up (which I had the pleasure to watch from the bedroom window!), to the evening fire pits, it was just all so magical and so perfect. Our guests told us how much they appreciated how chilled out the day was - we had four people tell us it was the best wedding they'd ever been to! I know the planning and work involved in coordinating a day of 80 people, and it is no mean feat, but somehow you all made it seem effortless and so relaxed (exactly the vibe we were after).

Our indoor ceremony turned out perfectly—creating a warm, intimate atmosphere that felt really special. The food was exceptional (even our Michelin-starred chef guest commented on the quality!), and the whole team managed a seamless turnaround for the evening celebrations, letting us party late into the night.
The atmosphere throughout the day was incredible, thanks to the amazing Master Builders team and how smoothly they worked with all our suppliers. Everything ran perfectly, and we honestly couldn’t be happier.

The venue itself is stunning, with beautiful views over the river and Bucklers Hard, big fireplaces and lounge chairs - the perfect cosy, charming, and warm setting for a wedding. The rooms were lovely, the honeymoon suite was gorgeous, and the food was fantastic, all of our guests commented on how great it was. Room turnarounds were seamless, and the whole day flowed perfectly.
Thank you so much to Lizzie and the whole team for looking after us so well and making our day so special. You truly have a gem of a venue and an amazing team. I couldn’t recommend The Master Builders House more highly for anyone looking for an amazing wedding venue.

The Garden
Named after the majestic Estate we call our home, our largest room benefits from direct access to the garden, and can be adjoined to The Exeter Gallery to create an even bigger function spot.
Accommodates up to 80 seated guests, or 120 for evening celebrations.
The Henry Adam's Room
With abundant natural light and a striking Elizabethan fireplace, the Exeter Gallery creates a memorable setting for intimate wedding celebrations. Ideal for a smaller gathering, this elegant room blends historic charm with a warm, welcoming atmosphere for family and friends.
Accommodates up to 35 guests for private dining.
Riverview
Our Darcy and Bennet private dining rooms offer a refined, intimate setting for smaller wedding celebrations. With William Morris wallpaper and rich furnishings, these rooms create a warm, inviting atmosphere and can be used together or separately to suit the occasion.

The Garden
The garden provides a natural and inviting space for wedding ceremonies and drinks receptions, surrounded by roses, lavender, and mature trees. With open views across the grounds, it’s a refreshing backdrop for celebrating with family and friends outdoors.
