Master Builders First Ever Beer Festival! A big "Thank you" to those who joined us for our first ever beer festival in June... the weekend was a huge success with people travelling far and wide to be here. All three days saw everything from live music, an art exhibition, a hog roast, face painting, New Forest farmers market all day BBQ's and much more. Please watch this space for details on next years bigger and better weekend!
8th Annual Beaulieu River Row Join us for the madcap river row on the 14th August that starts from Beaulieu and finishes in Buckler's Hard. When the first boat gets there, the Harbourmaster sounds a horn, all turn round and belt back again. Everyone gets a prize! Winner of the Photo Competition! We would just like to give a big congratulation to Penny Chew, our Animal category and over-all photo competition winner for her brilliant picture of the cow. We would also like to congratulate the winners and runners up from each category including the winner for Water, Jon Bolan and the runner up, Tony Christie, the winner for the Landscape category Kerry Gardner and the runner up, Derek Tippets and the runner up for the Animal category, Richard Chambers. There were so many brilliant pictures to choose from but The Master Builders are very proud to display the top 6 in our Yachtsman's Bar. Also we would like to give a massive thank you to Jessops in Castlepoint for donating prizes for the runner ups in each category and Chris Packham for taking the time to judge and present to our great photographers.

We had the "Gordan Bennett!", "Cleggy Racer" and "Into the Blue" all available from our Yachtsman's Bar. The polls have been counted and the results are in! The Lib Dems and Conservatives were tied together, each with 18% of the vote but Labour raced ahead with 64% of our guests votes.....No comment! New Elms for Bucklers Hard The Beaulieu Estate are re-introducing elms to the village to compliment its latest project - The Woodland Walk. Mary Montagu-Scott has been busy planting and overseeing the walk that now features more many species of trees that have been used for crafting and building the ships here at Bucklers Hard. Theres not as many as there were but its a start, as over 40 acres of elm would have been used for ONE ship! Introducing our Yachtsman's Breakfast! Breakfast for non-residents is now being served on weekends from 8-9:30am up until the 1st July when it will be start being served daily until the end of September. If you're mooring or just plain hungry, stop off into the Master Builder's for a scrumptious start to your day. Our Indian Summer BBQ is back! Now that summer is upon us we have reopened our Indian Summer BBQ! From haloumi skewers to delicious sirloins, there's something for everyone. Come and enjoy the sunshine with a nice cold beverage and some food right off the grill from Easter Weekend through to September 2010. Served every weekend from 12-21:30 up until 1st July when it goes full time 7 days a week. Well done everyone on winning the Mystery Fish AGAIN! We want to congratulate our team for managing to win the Mystery fish once again. This contest run between ourselves and our 3 sister hotels invites a special secret guest to stay with us each in turn, evaluating their total experience from booking over the phone through to check out, encouraging some healthly competition between all and keeping us on our toes!. Below is a picture of the trophy -the Mystery Fish, adorned with a pair of sunglasses ready for the summer!
