What to doThere are numerous attractions in the New Forest that offer interesting things to do for all tastes, set against a backdrop of the forest’s outstanding natural beauty and wildlife. For a start, as a guest of the Hotel you can hire bicycles with 48 hours notice and we can also arrange for canoe and kayak hire on the Beaulieu River. Those wanting to discover some of the heritage in the forest may want to check out some of the numerous award winning gardens, museums and historic houses museums. Then, for the excitement seekers, the adventure parks are always an adrenaline-fuelled option. Or, if you just want to relax, then why not stroll around one many castles or manors in the area followed by a relaxing amble along the many miles of beach. You can explore the New Forest by car, on foot or by bike – you can even hire canoes and kayaks and see what it looks like from the Beaulieu River. One of the best places to start if you want to plan your visit is the main tourist information site at www.thenewforest.co.uk The Master Builder's is of course part of the extraordinary and beautiful Buckler’s Hard, an 18th century shipbuilding village, where the master shipbuilder Henry Adams designed, built and launched many fine naval and merchant vessels, some of which formed part of Nelson’s navy.
